Founder’s Note The idea for Gulposh was born during a visit to Kashmir. While walking through the markets of Lal Chowk, I found myself surrounded by some of the most beautiful craftsmanship I had ever seen. The intricate embroidery, the vibrant colors, and the artistry of Kashmiri garments were truly mesmerizing. I have always been drawn to Kashmiri embroidery, but seeing it up close in Kashmir felt different. Each piece reflected generations of skill and tradition, carefully created by artisans who have preserved this craft for centuries. At that moment, a thought stayed with me — more people across the country should experience this beauty. That thought eventually became Gulposh. However, as the brand began to take shape, I noticed something interesting. While Kashmiri craftsmanship was admired everywhere, many people associated it only with winter clothing. That is when we decided to challenge that perception. At Gulposh, our focus became clear: to create authentic Kashmiri garments that can be worn comfortably throughout the year. By using lightweight fabrics such as cotton and rayon, we bring traditional Kashmiri artistry into clothing that fits effortlessly into everyday wardrobes. Every Gulposh garment is designed and made in Kashmir by skilled Kashmiri artisans, ensuring that the authenticity of the craft remains at the heart of everything we create.
